Come Sale Away: Find Unbeatable Deals

Sales galore this week, from sidewalk to subdivision efforts.

Find some unbeatable deals in and around Grosse Pointe. This week's list includes some group efforts as well as "everything must go" sales. 


Where/When: Along Mack Avenue, Grosse Pointe Woods; May 18-21.
Why Go: OK, it's not an estate or garage sale, but Mack Avenue has so many different types of businesses, including art and antique galleries, it's the perfect way to browse and nab some great deals.


Where/When: Ridgewood Estates Subdivision, including 38909 Creekridge Circle, Clinton Township; 9 a.m.-5 p.m. May 20-22.
Why Go: Why not make a day of it and head to this monster garage sale, part of the Ridgewood Estate Sub, which is holding its yearly garage sale this weekend, where up to 82 homes are opening their garages and yards and selling. You'll be able to find household items, decor, furnishings and much more here.

Where/When: 97 Hubbard, Mount Clemens; 9 a.m.5 p.m. May 20-22.
Why Go: Artist is holding a "starving" sale, with 200 original contemporary abstract acrylic paintings being marked to sell, $25-$100 price range. Only art is for sale, nothing else.


Where/When: Location to be announced after 9 a.m. May 18; sale hours are 9 a.m.-6 p.m. May 20 and 8 a.m.-2 p.m. May 21.
Why Go: Billed as an "everything must go" sale, drop in and hunt for deals and steals for furniture, antiques, glassware, collectibles, household items, electronics, garage and outdoor items, and much more.

Where/When: Grosse Pointe Park location to be announced after 9 a.m. May 19; sale hours are 9 a.m.-3 p.m. May 20-21.
Why Go: Check out all the great items for sale, including mahogany oval dining table with six Chippendale-style chairs, oak curio cabinet, Nichols & Stone dinette set, walnut desk, bedroom furnishings, framed artwork, carpets, crystal and more.


Where/When: St. Clair Shores location to be revealed after 9 a.m. May 19; sale hours are 9 a.m.-3 p.m. May 20-21.
Why Go: Furnishings, quality jewelry, home decor, garden items, a Howard Miller grandfather clock, patio furniture and much more will be for sale at this event, perfect if you want something new for your home.


Where/When: St. Clare Cooperative Nursery School (behind ); 8 a.m.-noon May 21.
Why Go: Several families are pooling resources together and holding a multi-family sale behind the church. Stop in and find plenty of great deals for the whole family.
