Here are the best family deals in and around Grosse Pointe this week.

FRIENDS DOWN UNDER BOOKSTORE
Deal:
 Find gently used books, videos, CDs and books on tape weekly at the book sale put on by the Friends of the Grosse Pointe Public Library. The store is open weekly on Saturdays from noon to 4 p.m. and Tuesdays 6 to 8 p.m. There are new additions to the selections all the time and this is a great way to pick up some new reading without paying retail prices. Plus it helps the libraries, which are in great need right now!

MOM-to-MOM SALE at ST. ISAAC JOGUES (in St. Clair Shores)
Deal: 
Find gently used clothing and toys for your tiny tots at this large mom-to-mom sale featuring 100 tables. Admission is $2 from 8:30 to 9 a.m. and $1 until 1 p.m. The sale does not permit strollers. 
Good through: March 5, 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.

GROSSE POINTE WOODS COMMUNITY CENTER
Deal: Mother & Son Movie Day—catch a movie with your son for $4 per person. Beat the movie theater prices and stay close to home to watch Toy Story 3. Sons receive a keepsake and a picture with mom.
Good through: March 5, 12:30 p.m.

THE FAMILY CENTER 
Deal: Eat at Village Grille, 16930 Kercheval Ave. March 9 and a portion of your lunch or dinner will be donated to the Family Center. This is part of the Family Center's Dining for Dollars campaign
Good through: May 31, 2011

GROSSE POINTE ANIMAL ADOPTION SOCIETY
Deal: On Saturday the animal rescue organization will hold its first pet adoption of the month at the . The adoptions include spay/neutering, up-to-date vaccinations and animal-appropriate care/analysis. Rescue a pet and help a nonprofit organization at the same time.   

Good through: March 5, noon to 3 p.m.
