Here We Snow Again: Another Winter Storm Approaches

Grosse Pointe is under a Winter Storm Watch tonight and tomorrow. Another few inches of snow is expected overnight, and the Woods has issued a snow advisory. So move those cars in!

Once again, friends, we're looking at a snowy forecast.

Expect 2-4 inches of new snow falling Thursday night, and another 1-3 inches before 1 p.m. Friday.

The City of Grosse Pointe Woods issued a snow advisory, which means that no vehicles may be parked on city streets during the storm to allow for plows to do their work. Vehicles left on the street and plowed in may be towed and ticketed at the owner's expense. Also residents are asked to keep fire hydrants clear of snow.

Chance of precipitation? The National Weather Service says 100 percent. So, we'd say those are pretty good odds.

The good news: One of our editors saw three robins on a tree in her neighbor's yard. Maybe they know something we don't, but it's possible spring is on the way.
