Winter Weather Advisory Warns of Icy Conditions

The National Weather Service issued a winter weather advisory warning of icy conditions due to sleet, freezing rain and rising temperatures. The advisory expires at 4 a.m. Monday.

Rising overnight temperatures are expected to create icy conditions as snow and sleet turn into freezing rain, according to a winter weather advisory issued by the National Weather Service late Sunday.

The advisory continues through 4 a.m. Monday and warns of limited visibility, slippery roadways and hazardous driving conditions. The temperature is expected to rise overnight to above freezing, convering the snow into freezing rain.

Rain is expected to continue throughout the day and into Monday night, according to the forecast, which is calling for temperatures in the 40s and 50s through the middle of the week.
