BARNES AND NOBLE BOOK FAIR ALONG WITH PLAY IT FORWARD RAISES MONEY FOR DETROIT WAYNE COUNTY FOSTER KIDS

From Saturday, December 1, through December 6, 2012, a percentage of Barnes and Noble sales – both in-store (only on Saturday) and on line – will be contributed to Play It Forward, a non-profit program that provides music lesson and instruments to children and teens in the foster system.

Play It Forward (PIF) is a program of For The Seventh Generation operating under the guidance of Program Chair Sonya Mastick, owner of The Lesson Rooms in Royal Oak.  It has been developed to promote and support the basic concept that children need not only to survive, but to thrive.  Music and musical instruction can open the door to creativity, personal growth and most importantly, hope.
