Drive Smart For Your School Fund-Raising Event to be Held at Grosse Pointe North H.S. Before the Annual North vs. South Rivalry Football Game October 5th from 4PM to 7PM to Benefit the North High School Band and Orchestra Program
Details:
707 Vernier Rd. Grosse Pointe Woods, MI – This Friday, October 5th from 4 PM to 7 PM the Grosse Pointe North Band and Orchestra Booster Organization will be hosting, in cooperation with Bob Maxey Lincoln and Ford Motor Company, a Drive Smart For Your School Fund-Raising Event to raise money for the North High School Band and Orchestra Program. The event will take place in the North High School parking lot along with other pre-game tailgating events.
The Drive Smart For Your School program was developed as a fun, engaging way to help high schools raise money to support their sports and extracurricular activities. Every test-drive earns the high school program $20. This means the more people who test-drive a Lincoln vehicle at the event, the more money that will be raised for the school program. Participants may include anyone in the community, 18 years or older with a valid driver's license.
Annually, the North vs. South Football game is one of Metro Detroit’s greatest long standing rivalry games. Pre-game activities include a tailgate sponsored in part by the Grosse Pointe Chamber of Commerce. This year is a big year for the award winning North Band and Orchestra program as they will be traveling to Disneyworld to compete against other high school programs from around the country. This fund-raising event will help the Band and Orchestra Booster Organization support them in their endeavors and help them to continue to be one of the best musical programs in the country. If you have any questions regarding the event please contact David Hensley, Booster Organization VP, at dwhen714@yahoo.com or (313) 737-0609.
