GPSA Youth Soccer Academy for ages 5-8

Grosse Pointe Soccer Association believes that placing our youngest players on the proper path of skill development is essential to continuing the success of GPSA into the future. Accordingly, it is with great pride and excitement that we announce the third year of our Youth Soccer Academy which will focus on instilling in our youngest athletes enthusiasm for the great sport of soccer, with a focus on technical development in a fun environment.

The Academy is directed by Dan Kelly, Grosse Pointe Soccer Association’s Coaching Director (USSF National Youth Coaching License - 2007).  Kelly has developed a curriculum for the Academy using USSF guidelines that will teach developmentally-specific skill sets through the use of innovative activities designed to engage the young athletes both physically and mentally.

The Academy will be held at the home of GPSA training, Total Soccer Training Center, conveniently located approximately 12 minutes from the Grosse Pointe area, at 26083 Groesbeck Highway., 1/4 mile south of I-696, in Warren, Michigan.
