New Frontiers in Epilepsy Surgery

Beaumont Health System and its Neuroscience Center of Excellence has launched a fall community education series to help area residents better understand neurologic conditions and their treatments. The October program at Beaumont Hospital, Grosse Pointe will address epilepsy.


While there are no fees to attend these programs, registration is required.

The Oct. 22 program, “New Frontiers in Epilepsy Surgery” will be presented by Chaim Colen, M.D., Ph.D., director, Neuro-Oncology and Epilepsy Surgery, Beaumont, Grosse Pointe. He will discuss the latest surgical approaches and technology used to treat epilepsy. The program will feature a question-and-answer session with Dr. Colen, a nurse and the epilepsy care team. It begins at 6 p.m. in the Connelly Auditorium at Beaumont Hospital, 468 Cadieux in Grosse Pointe.
