Republican activist and political consultant Paul Welday will address the Eastside Republican Club Forum at 7:30 p.m., Tuesday, January 15 at the Grosse Pointe War Memorial, 32 Lake Shore Road in Grosse Pointe Farms.
“Mr. Welday was chief of staff for Oakland County’s Joe Knollenberg when he served in Congress, and started his career working for Jack Kemp,” said club chairman Jenny Nolan.
“He was chairman of the Oakland Country Republican Party, shares our core Republican principles, and is very active in GOP affairs.”
“As a Farmington resident, he lives in our new 14th Congressional District,” she added.
Currently Welday is president of Renaissance Strategies, LLC, a leading national political consulting firm, and is Senior Counselor to the Washington D.C.-based Watts Partners, Inc., a Washington government affairs consulting firm.
Welday is a frequent panel member on Devin Scillian’s Flashpoint on WDIV, and often interviewed on the air on radio news programs.
With the benefit of his experience in the halls of Congress, Paul will give us his take on what’s going on in Washington today and what we can expect, along with his views on what is ahead in Michigan.
“The Forum is open to the public at no charge, so we invite anyone to attend who is interested in learning more about how our government works,” said Nolan.
Doors open at 7 p.m. for coffee and networking.
The Eastside Republican Club Forum is held on the third Tuesday of the month from September through June. Admission is free and the public is always welcome.
