Feet On The Street Tours 'Understanding Diverse Houses of Worship'

Participants will increase their understanding of, and
sensitivity to, the basic principles, beliefs and rituals within each religion;
learn about the history of each building, its congregation, membership and
future plans; hear about community and interfaith initiatives and
collaboration; and gain awareness needed to work effectively with diverse
spiritual, religious and cultural populations. Please note, this program is
open to anyone interested in the topic.



Tour will include presentations by Linda Yellin, LMSW,
founder, Feet on the Street Tours; Chris Blauvelt, Board member,
University Islamic Center of Detroit; Anna Kohn, executive
director, the Isaac Agree Downtown Synagogue; Pastor David Jarrett, Bethel
AME (African Methodist Episcopal) Church; and Pauline Everette, LMSW, PhD,
instructor, Wayne State University School of Social Work.
