Update

We

just completed our 34th drawing on September 4th and the

jackpot total was $15,602.  The Jack of

Spades lives and we continue to build the jackpot. Next week's jackpot will exceed $16,000. Be
part of the fun, and a potential winner, by supporting the Crisis Club Jack of

Spades raffle.  Drawings are each

Wednesday at 8:00 p.m.  Tickets are only

$1 and may be purchased from any of the Trustees or at The Irish Coffee Bar and

Grill, Mike’s on the Water, DC Sports locations or, at the home of the raffle,

at the Sunrise Sunset Saloon.



Jack of

Spades Raffle House Rules

Sponsored by the Grosse Pointe Crisis Club

1. A

new deck of cards is required for each game started.


3. In a public location, a full deck of

52 cards are to be placed in sealed envelopes. At least two of the Grosse

Pointe Crisis Club Chairpersons will sign the back

of each envelope. All envelopes then will be mixed up, and then they will be

numbered 1 to 52. 


4. After numbering no less than 2 Grosse Pointe Crisis Club Chairpersons will


place them in a display cabinet at Sunrise Sunset Saloon, 15222 Charlevoix


Grosse Pointe Park, MI 48230.
5. Envelopes will then be locked into the display cabinet and the ONLY key holders

will be the GPCC Chairpersons and will have access to the cabinet.


6. Tickets will be sold for $1.00 each.


7. Drawings will be held every Wednesday at 8:00 pm, starting January 9,


2013 through Wednesday January 1, 2014 (excluding the December 25, 2013 drawing

witch will take place on Thursday December 26, 2013)     


8. The purchaser holding the winning ticket will pick a card from the


board or see item #12 below 


9. To win the pot, you must expose the Jack of Spades from its envelope.


10. If the Jack of Spades is not drawn, the pot rolls over to the next week.


11. The pot will continue to build until the Jack of Spades is drawn and this


could take up to 52 weeks.


12. If you are not going to be present at the drawing, you must declare an


envelope number written on your ticket stub or a GPCC Chairperson will draw an

envelope.  Winner will receive the same percentage of jackpot regardless


of whether they are present.


13. If the winning ticket holder picks the Jack of Spades, they will receive 65


% of the pot.  The Grosse Pointe Crisis Club will get the other 35%


14. The Grosse Pointe Club will issue a 1099 to the Federal Government for the


winnings.  You will be required to provide proper identification and


information for taxes.  All tickets and monies will be accounted for by The


Grosse Pointe Crisis Club in accordance with all bureau requirements.


15. If the State Gaming License runs out during the game, tickets will be sold


and drawn the last night until someone draws the Jack of Spades and wins the


current pot.


17. Tickets may be purchased at the Sunrise Sunset Saloon or from an authorized

Crisis Club Trustee or Member.


18. Weekly ticket sales will end 15 minutes prior to each drawing.


19.

All tickets remaining after each drawing will be destroyed.


20.

Ticket sales will resume immediately following each drawing.  


21. In case of emergency and the raffle cannot be held at the designated time,


the raffle will be held at the first available date following.


23. Owners, employees and persons residing at their residence of Grafton Inn, any

suppliers for the raffle, Chairpersons of the Carleton Rotary Club, are NOT


eligible to purchase raffle tickets for the Jack of Spades drawing.
