"Heart of Art" Fundraiser

Students from Wayne State University, with support from the Sauvé Art Foundation, are hosting the “Heart of Art” fundraiser benefiting the Children’s Hospital of Michigan Healing Arts Program. The event begins at 7 p.m. on Friday, March 28, 2014 at Harry’s Bar located at 2482 Clifford in Detroit. Entrance is free.

The “Heart of Art” fundraiser gives individuals the opportunity to give back to children of Michigan, while kicking back on a Friday night. Guests can look forward to a silent auction featuring poster sets created for the Sauvé Art Foundation’s “Man in the City” project by legendary Detroit poster artists Gary Grimshaw and Carl Lundgren. Both poster sets include the original poster created for the Grande Ballroom in the mid 1960's and the poster created for the “Man in the City” sculpture project based on that original. Gift cards and merchandise from local businesses also will be raffled off at the event.
