Neighborhood Service Organization 7th Annual RiverRun & Walk featuring Handlebars for the Homeless

The Neighborhood Service Organization (NSO) will host its 7th Annual RiverRun & Walk featuring “Handlebars for the Homeless” on Saturday, Sept. 14 to raise money and awareness for Detroit’s vulnerable neighbors – the homeless, developmentally disabled, older adults, pre-school children and the city's youth. “Handlebars for the Homeless” is a non-competitive bike tour that has been extended to 20 miles this year.

The event will begin at Rivard Plaza on the Detroit River Walk with the start of “Handlebars for the Homeless” at 8 a.m. followed by the start of the 5K (3.1 miles) Run and Walk at 9 a.m. All activities begin and end at the plaza, located at 1340 E. Atwater Street just east of the GM Renaissance Center.

Until September 8, registration is $25 per person and can be completed online athttps://events.r20.constantcontact.com/register/eventReg?llr=5gs74beab&oeidk=a07e7s19kwga0714f49. From September 9-14 (including day-of), registration for individuals is $30.
