"Empty Bowls" soup luncheon. Some 17 local restaurants will donate a variety of soups for the fundraiser. All proceeds will be donated to Cass Community Social Services, a non-profit agency that helps the homeless and mentally challenged by creating opportunities. Each guest at the luncheon will receive soup, bread, a pastry and a hand-painted bowl as a keepsake. Entertainment will be provided by the Ambassadors, an all-men's inspirational singing group from Cass. For more information visit their Facebook account at Empty Bowls 2012. To date, soup donors include: Marchiori Catering, National Coney Island, Andrea's Kitchen, Marchiori Catering, New York Deli, South Side Grill, Russell St. Deli, Park Grille, Olympia Grill, Luigi's, Ernie's, Harry's Detroit, Grecian Table, Pegasus East, and Andiamo's.
