Michigan State University Alumni of Eastern Wayne County

The Michigan State University Alumni of Eastern Wayne County will be holding their annual meeting and scholarship presentation in the banquet room of the Village Grille on May 16.

All area MSU alumni are welcome to join the chapter members as they present book awards to two outstanding high school seniors who have been accepted to MSU.

Attendees are also encouraged to bring donations for the club's signature project, the Foster Care program of the MSU School of Social Work.  MSU students who have aged out of the state system are provided mentoring and financial aid by the School.  MSUAEW members give support to the program by donating personal care items, such as soap, toothpaste and shampoo, as well as school supplies, laundry supplies and snacks. School staff use the items to create gifts baskets for newly entering Foster Care freshmen, final exam periods and for Foster Care youth attending MSU summer camps.  Financial donations to the program are also welcome.
