Read to a Dog at Woods Library

Kids from 2nd through 5th grade can enjoy a "Dog Day Afternoon" at the Grosse Pointe Woods branch of the library. It's a no-pressure way to practice reading aloud, since the presence of the registered therapy dog is relaxing and the pooch won't interrupt. The child must be able to read independently. Registration is required.

Reading times on the dates scheduled are 5-5:30 pm, 5:30 pm-6 pm, 6 pm-6:30 pm and 6:30 pm.

Parents can also leave their e-mail address so the library can send a picture of the child reading to the dog.
