Help our Green Schools on Election Day

Participate in Prescription Drug Take Back Day
Election Day, November 5

At these two locations:

  • Grosse Pointe Park Police Station
  • Grosse Pointe Woods Police Station

Children or pets can accidentally ingest medications discarded in the garbage.  Prescription drug abuse is the fastest growing problem in the U.S. (CDC). Start the conversation early with your child or grandchildren about the risks of sharing and misusing prescription drugs.

Before bringing in your unwanted medication please remove pills from bottles and combine together in an unmarked/unlabeled container such as a zip lock bag. Please Note: Controlled substances and syringes will not be accepted.

This will help our Green Schools program by keeping drugs out of our waterways. We used to encourage people to flush old prescriptions. Please don't do that! Bring them to these police partners on election day and help us earn a point of our Green School application.

Thank you!
