Your Local Genius Café

where local Grosse Pointe Public School System students and staff will help you learn to maximize your use of the technology devices you own. The idea is simple. Bring your device - from cell phone to iPad, Kindle to laptop - and local students will be set up in small groups to help you learn more of the bells and whistles.

The six learning topics for technology tools are as follows:

1. Getting to know your mobile device

2. Using a digital calendar

3. Social media apps 101

4. Photo and video management

5. Video calling with FaceTime, Skype or Google Hangouts

6. Digital music management

Technology as a learning tool.

Students as teachers.
