Friends of the Grosse Pointe Parade Announce the Third Annual Holiday Event

Featuring the unveiling of newest Christmas Parade float, 'The White Christmas Carriage'

GROSSE POINTE - The Friends of the Grosse Pointe Parade, a nonprofit organization focused on the enhancement of the Grosse Pointe Santa Claus Parade, is inviting the public to its third annual holiday event.

This year’s festivities are scheduled for Nov. 13 at 6 p.m. and will take place at Grosse Pointe Farms Pier Park.

The Friends of the Grosse Pointe Parade are partnering with Toys for Tots for the fourth consecutive year, providing multiple opportunities to drop off unwrapped gifts to support children in need.

Founded in 2005, The Friends of the Grosse Pointe Parade has designed and built a total of three floats for the Grosse Pointe Santa Claus Parade. This year’s event is the unveiling of the latest addition to the parade from The Friends "The Grosse Pointe White Christmas Carriage."

For adults the annual event offers the perfect opportunity to renew old friendships and network with new acquaintances. The three floats designed, built, and maintained by The Friends of the Grosse Pointe Parade will be on hand and families will be able to take pictures. Food and beverages will be served.

Children this year will enjoy Santa’s Workshop. Activities include cookie decorating, a Santa letter writing station, face painting, a coloring table, and hands-on train table.

Tickets are $25 for individuals, $50 for families and are available at Posterity: A Gallery or the Grosse Pointe Chamber of Commerce. Tickets are also available for purchase online.  This will be the 37th consecutive year for the Grosse Pointe Santa Claus Parade.
