Michigan War Dog Memorial
Located at the corner of Milford Road and 11 Mile Road
(Just east of South Lyon and two miles south of New Hudson)
This is the day we will RECOGNIZE
and show our RESPECT to
K-9s that serve and protect us.
There will be seveal speakers at this event that will discuss
the Military Working Dogs.
Michigan State Police K-9 Unit
Oakland County K-9 Unit
Michigan Search and Rescue Dogs
The Patriot Riders and Operation Injured Soldiers will participate with a flag line.
The Amvets Post 2006 will provide a color guard.
The Public is Welcome
On March 13, 1942 U.S. Army launched the K-9 Corps so it is only fitting that we celebrate the Saturday closest to this historic event encourage citizens throughout the Great Lakes State to honor the forgotten hero dogs who helped, and continue to help sustain the protection, safety and freedom of citizens in Michigan and throughout the United States.
