Family Friendly Events: Week of August 12

I can't seem to stop lamenting on how quickly this summer has gone by. I know I probably say this every year, but really - how is it already mid August!?

Even though school is lurking right around the corner, here at Macaroni Kid we're not ready to give up on summer quite yet. So tell the rain to take a hike, get your sunscreen back out and let's play!

Here's a look at some of the fun events going on this week:

Tomorrow at 10am, Pewabic Pottery is hosting Family Fun Day. Free tours, live demos and more!

Wednesday it's another Park It! Family Fun Night at Veteran's Park in St. Clair Shores. See "Pirates! Band of Misfits" at 9pm.

On Friday morning my Macaroni Kid and I will be at the last Sing & Sign event of the summer. Come out to the Tot Lot at 10:30am for a free craft and enter a raffle to win some cool prizes.

This event is hosted by the Grosse Pointe MomPreneurs and features a Musc Together demo combined with a Sign Language demo. It's a ton of fun, and a great way to spend some quality time with the kiddos.
