“Island Hopping” Spring Benefit at Grosse Pointe South, April 15
The Mothers’ Club Annual Event Promises Fashion and Fun
Forget the harsh winter and join your friends to soak up the sun at the 2014 Mothers’ Club Spring Benefit Luncheon and Fashion Show, “Island Hopping.” The show will take place on April 15 from 12 noon-3:00 p.m. at Grosse Pointe South.
“We could all use a little fun in the sun after the horrible winter we’ve been having, and we picked a warm, sunny theme so everyone could just kick back and have fun,” said co-chair Sarah Kreisler.

Co-chair Lauren Crow agreed: “We’ve got a fantastic show planned with a delicious lunch, great entertainment, and, of course, the latest fashions for spring, from formal to fun and everything in between.”
Always in style are the fabulous fashions from the local retailers and the South student-models. This year’s stores include Brooks Brothers, Capricious, Coldwater Creek, Dawood, El’s Boutique, Etcetera, Girlie Girl, La Jolie Rose, Lazare’s, Men’s Wearhouse, Moosejaw, SHE, Village Palm, Voila Boutique along with the GPSouth Fashions and Fabrics Class.

“This annual luncheon is one of the Mothers’ Clubs’ most important fundraisers—and one of the most anticipated events of the spring,” according to Mothers’ Club President Helen Srebernak. “We expect about 500 people to attend.
The fundraiser supports classroom enrichment, college scholarships, and historic preservation projects at Grosse Pointe South High School. “We are extremely grateful to our sponsors for their generous support of this event,” Srebernak added.
Sponsors include: Gold level: Beaumont Health System, Silver Level: Park Pharmacy, and Bronze level: UBS.
Hair designs are courtesy of Edwin Paul, and makeup by Skytique Boutique.
Entertainment will be provided by the Grosse Pointe South Choir, Band, and Orchestra. Catering is by Mirage Catering.
Fabulous raffle/auction prizes include a necklace donated by Lucido Fine Jewelers, an airlines voucher, gift cards, yoga sessions by Living Waters Yoga, and much more. Attendees can also shop for unique items from local vendors.
