21 Grams of Marijuana Found, Confiscated in Grosse Pointe Farms

The following information is gathered from the Departments of Public Safety of the Grosse Pointes. Arrests do not indicate conviction.

Grosse Pointe Farms police arrested a 19-year-old Grosse Pointe Woods woman May 6 for possession of marijuana with the intent to distribute after she was initially stopped for running a stop sign at McKinley and Mack Avenue.

According to a report, when the officer approached the car near Mack and Moross, the smell of marijuana was strong. The woman initially did not roll down her window.

Eventually she did and after asked repeatedly about marijuana, she admitted there was marijuana in the console. She said it belonged to a friend at a university.

During a search, the officer found a mason jar full of marijuana including individual baggies with marijuana. She also had four $20 bills with her, two pipes, rolling papers and a marijuana cigarette.

The marijuana was tested at the station and weighed. There were 21 grams of marijuana taken into police custody, according to a report.
