Arrest Made in Nun Robbery

The man is to appear before a judge at 4 p.m. in Grosse Pointe Park.

arrested a suspect in the attempted robbery of a nun Feb. 28 at . 

The suspect will have an arraignment today at 4 p.m. in the Grosse Pointe Park court, according to a written release, and officials are not releasing any additional information until after his appearance. 

The man is who was trying to lock up the church after a service. He demanded money but she didn't have any. He patted down the exterior pockets of the nun's clothing and then forced her into a bathroom.

The man eventually left the church and no one was injured during the crime. 

Earlier this week, police released a sketch of the suspect and were following up on a variety of leads being called in.

Park police also helped Grosse Pointe Shores police search a Shores home this week looking for a gun believed to have been used in a robbery. Park police declined to comment about whether the search was related to this robbery.
