Court Issues Protection Order Against Bashara

The self-identified mistress of Bob Bashara filed a personal protection order in Wayne Circuit Court Thursday against him detailing unwanted contact from him.

A personal protection order was approved in Third Circuit Court Thursday on behalf of 51-year-old Rachel Gillett, the self-proclaimed mistress of .

According to WXYZ Action 7, Bashara received notice of the order late Thursday, hours after it was approved and certified through the Wayne County Clerk's office.

In the request for the order, Gillett requests Bashara be prohibited from contacting her in any form, by telephone, email, at her home or work or by cell phone. She also states she is fearful for her life and in a letter attached to the request for the order, Gillett details several instances beginning in March through this week in which she has told him she does not want him to contact her.

She also states that the pair had a three year relationship and when she tried to break it off previously, he told her he would always be able to find her. It wasn't until his wife was found strangled to death in the backseat of her SUV in Detroit that Gillett realized her safety was at risk, according to the letter.

Her attorney, Doraid Elder, told Local 4 WDIV that Rachel was under the impression Bashara was divorced when they were having a relationship and realized she had been lied to after .

Bob Bashara's repeated attempts to contact Gillett have ccontinued, according to her letter, even after her attorney spoke with his attorney requesting that it stop.

Bashara's attorney, David Griem, told the Free Press that his understanding is that contact was also being made by Gillett to his client. He describes the conversation between the attorneys as being more about why the pair should not talk because of the pending investigation.
