Farms Police: Help in 3 Morning Burglaries

police are looking for two men who are believed to have broken into at least three homes this morning between 7 a.m. to noon. There are two additional burglaries in the that may also be related, according to an alert sent to residents shortly after 3 p.m.

The men were spotted by a resident who was home working but chose to not answer a knock on the front door, Farms Director of Public Safety Dan Jensen said. Within a few minutes, the resident heard someone walking down his hallway, Jensen said.

As soon as the resident let it be known he was home, the men who entered the house ran, Jensen said. One exited through a basement window, which indicates to police he was small in stature because it was a small window, Jensen said.

Detectives are investigating the three burglaries, all of which happened near Lake Shore and McKinley between 7 a.m. to noon Monday. In the other two crimes, miscellaneous belongings were stolen, Jensen said, including a laptop.

The three burglaries very well may be related to , Jensen said. In those cases, the burglar entered the homes without any evidence of forced entry and stole jewelry from bedrooms. Two of the residents in those crimes were home when the burglaries happened and in all of the crimes, they happened within a short time frame during the daytime. 

The men are believed to be in their early 20s and were last seen wearing black tee-shirts and shorts. They were last seen running through yards from a home they broke into, according to the alert. A further description was not available at 3:30 p.m. Monday.
