Fire Damages Grosse Pointe Park Home
Fire ignited near an electrical outlet in a bedroom. Grosse Pointe Park Department of Public Safety crews were able to contain the fire in the bedroom.
A home in the 15000 block of Jefferson sustained smoke and water damage June 5 after a fire started in a first floor bedroom, according to Grosse Pointe Park Department of Public Safety.
Crews were called to the home about 10:15 p.m. where they discovered the fire ignited near an electrical outlet in the bedroom.
The blaze was brought under control and contained in the bedroom, according to a report. Crews extinguished the fire without allowing it to spread beyond the bedroom.
Crews from the City of Grosse Pointe assisted in battling the blaze.
The house sustained smoke and water damage, according to a report.
