Police Adding Patrols Around Poupard Following Incident
Police have increased patrols around Poupard Elementary School after a homeowner across from the school reportedly shot at an intruder.
Harper Woods police have increased patrols around Poupard Elementary School after a homeowner across the street from the school confronted an intruder, according to a Nixle alert from the Harper Woods Police Department.
The homeowner returned to his home on Van Antwerp at 5:35 a.m. Friday to find the suspect in his basement and fired a handgun at the intruder, according to the police.
Classes at Poupard, which is across the street from where the incident occurred, is open but police have extra patrols in the area.
