Police Blotter: 1 Vehicle Theft, 2 Attempts
The following information is gathered from the Departments of Public Safety of the Grosse Pointes. Arrests do not indicate conviction.
police are investigating the theft of a 2001 Jeep Cherokee from Pointe Park Place and two addtional attempted vehicle thefts, all of which happened overnight from Dec. 5 to 6. All three vehicles are Chrysler brands.
The stolen Jeep was parked in a parking lot, and was stolen between 8 p.m. Dec. 5 and 7:30 a.m. Dec. 6, according to a report.
A 2005 Jeep Wrangler parked in the street in the 1400 block of Beasconsfield sustained damage to a lock and to the steering column, which was discovered early Dec. 6 by the owner. Nothing was stolen from it, according to police.

A 2007 Chrysler Town and Country minivan parked in the street in the 1300 block of Balfour also sustained damage to the steering column and a GPS/radio system were stolen from it, according to police.
Rims, Tires Stolen

In an unrelated report, Grosse Pointe Park police are investigatin the theft of the rims and tires from a 2011 Dodge Durango. The SUV was parked in the 700 block of Pemberton and the rims and tires were stolen overnight from Dec. 9 to 10, according to a report.
BB Gun Damage
Grosse Pointe Park police are investigating damage to a screen and window discovered Dec. 4. Tweleve bb holes were found in a screen and window of a home in the 800 block of Barrington Road. The damage is reported to have occurred between Dec. 2 to 4, according to a report.
