Police Blotter: Naked Motorist Arrested

The following information is gathered from the Departments of Public Safety from the Grosse Pointes. Arrests do not indicate conviction.

police arrested a 57-year-old man Feb. 6 for indecent exposure after a resident from Harbor Hill called police to report that he was sitting in his car naked.

The man was parked in the driveway of a home in the 200 block of Lake Shore Road. A responding officer found the man in his car, ordered him to dress himself and get out of the car. The man followed the instructions and he was arrested. He told police he was on the property of a relative who probably would press charges against him if she knew he were there but she is out of town. The resident who called in the complaint told police the man was performing a sexual act but the responding officer did not observe such behavior. The man, however, did have several pornographic magazines on the passenger side seat of the car, according to a report.
