Police Blotter: Several Vehicle Larcenies in Park

The following information is gathered from Departments of Public Safety from the Grosse Pointes. Arrests do not indicate conviction.

Several thefts from vehicles are being investigated by the Grosse Pointe Park police this week.

On Dec. 6, an iPod Touch was stolen during the night from a vehicle parked in a residence driveway on the 1000 block of Bedford, according to a report.

A few days later, on Dec. 10, a Garmin GPS was stolen from an SUV parked in a driveway on the 700 block of Lakepointe.  The same night another Garmin GPS was taken from car in the 800 block of Lakepointe, according to a report.

Also on Dec. 10, a pair of Rayban sunglasses and miscellaneous loose change were taken from a car parked on the 700 block of Westchester, according to a report.

On Dec. 16, a $10.00 in loose change was stolen from vehicle parked in the driveway of a home on the 700 block of Balfour.  The vehicle was not locked, according to a report.

Catalytic Converter Stolen

On Dec. 15,  the catalytic converter was stolen from a 2003 Chevrolet Cavalier that was parked the street on the 1300 block of Maryland.  The theft occurred between 7 a.m. and noon, according to a report.

Bikes Taken from Garage

Two road-mountain bikes were taken from an unlocked garage on the 700 block of Balfour on Dec. 16, according to a report.

Park Man Arrested after Marijuana Found in Home

Police responded to a report of a disturbance at a home on the 700 block of Bershire.  Marijuana was found in the home and a 58-year-old man was arrested, according to a report.
