Police Blotter: Thefts Under Investigation

Grosse Pointe Park police arrested a 19-year-old man Jan. 27 after he was caught by officers with stolen beauty products from a house in the 800 block of Pemberton. A neighbor saw the man leave with something stuffed in his coat after kicking at a door. The man then began to run, prompting the neighbor to call police. The responding officers found the man and the stolen goods nearby and arrested him, according to a report.
Truck Damaged in Theft Attempt
Grosse Pointe Park police are investigating the attempted theft of a 2006 Dodge Ram pickup truck from the 500 block of Lakepointe. The truck sustained damage to the steering column and the ignition, which was discovered early Jan. 19, according to a report.

Thefts from Vehicles
Grosse Pointe Park police are investigating two thefts from vehicles on Balfour. In the first case, a soft black briefcase was stolen from an unlocked car parked in a driveway in the 1300 block of Balfour overnight Jan. 21 to 22. The following night, an iPod plug and multi-charger car adapter were stoen from a locked car parked in a driveway in the 1000 block of Balfour, according to two reports.
