Police Blotter: Use of Pepper Spray Ends in Arrest

The following information is gathered from the Departments of Public Safety of the Grosse Pointes. Arrests do not indicate conviction.

police arrested a 21-year-old resident March 6 shortly before 5 p.m. folllowing a fight between her and her sister in the 1400 block of Wayburn. During the fight, the woman used pepper spray on her sister and the Wayne County Prosecutor's Office has charged her with assault and battery. The woman lives in the 1400 block of Maryland, according to a report. 

Theft from Apartment

Grosse Pointe Park police are investigating the theft of 10 CDs and a cordless drill from an apartment in the 1000 block of Lakepointe. The theft was reported March 11 and is believed to have happened between Feb. 2 to March 11, according to a report.

Theft from Garage

Grosse Pointe Park police are also investigating the theft of a snowblower and lawn mower from an open garage in the 1400 block of Devonshire. The theft happened March 3 during a power outage and the homeowner was unable to close the garage because of a lack of power, according to a report.
