Police Investigate Woman's Death in Grosse Pointe Park

Grosse Pointe Park police are investigating the death of a 35-year-old woman, according to Click on Detroit.

The woman, identified as Sabrina Gianino by MyFoxDetroit.com, was found dead in a Grosse Pointe Park home in the 1300 block of Wayburn early Thursday morning.

WXYZ-TV (Channel 7) reports that police are treating the death as "suspicious" and that the Michigan State Police Crime Lab is assisting.

Patch is awaiting more information from the Grosse Pointe Park Department of Public Safety.

Maria Miller, spokeswoman for the Wayne County Prosecutor's Office, said Thursday afternoon via email there is no information to be released. The case is under investigation, she said.

The Wayne County Medical Examiner's Office will perform an autopsy Friday, according to Wayne County Spokeswoman Sarah Bazzi. The autopsy will help officials determine the woman's cause of death and will likely lead to a ruling as to the nature of the death.
