Stolen Prescription Pad Under Investigation in Grosse Pointe Farms

The following information is gathered from the Departments of Public Safety of the Grosse Pointes. Arrests do not indicate conviction.

Grosse Pointe Farms police are investigating the fraudulent use of a prescription pad by two people trying to obtain drugs from a pharmacy. A pharmacy employee reported that the prescriptions were not legitimate and police interviewed people from the doctor's office. The doctor said the people trying to obtain the drugs were not his patients. One is from Canton and one is from Ann Arbor. They reported to a pharmacy employee that the prescription pad had been given to them by the doctor's son. The doctor said it wouldn't surprise him because he had previously gotten in trouble for such an offense that was expunged from his record. The script pad was old and the doctor believes his son may have gotten a hold of it when he moved recently. His office now primarily uses an electronic prescription system, according to a report filed May 2.

He took her food and she chased after him. He threw a pop on her, snatched her purse and ran from the fast food restaurant. Officers found him in the area and recovered the purse along with its contents in a garbage can. After taking pictures, the items were returned to the woman.
