Suspicious Men Escorted Out of Grosse Pointe Woods

Grosse Pointe Woods police escorted two men to Detroit June 9 after finding them wandering near Morningside and Shoreham roads shortly before 2 a.m. Police received a call about two men who appeared to be suspicious walking near Littlestone and Eastbourne shortly before 1 a.m. and one of the men was spotted carrying a screwdriver. Officers checked the area but did not find the men. Then about an hour later, they were spotted near Morningside and Shoreham. They allowed officers to search them and said they were lost. They allowed the officer to drive them to Mack and Moross to drop them off. The officer returned to the area where they were found and discovered a screwdriver about 30 feet from where he approached them. One of the men had a previous conviction for breaking and entering, according to the report.
