Jewelry, Bicycle Thefts Under Investigation
The following information is gathered from the Departments of Public Safety of the Grosse Pointes. Arrests do not indicate conviction.
Grosse Pointe Park police are investigating the theft of a diamond ring from a home in the 1300 block of Harvard Road. The 3/4 carat diamond ring was stolen from the master bedroom of the house Jan. 20. The same day it was stolen the homeowner had a cable repairman out to her house, according to a report. It was not clear why this crime is just now being reported.
Unlocked Bicycle Stolen
Grosse Pointe Park police are also investigating the theft of a Mongoose BMX bike from the Ewald Branch of Grosse Pointe Public Library March 14. The bicycle was parked outside and was not locked up. It was stolen between 1 to 1:30 p.m. The bicycle is red, blue and white, according to a report.
