Election Day: Sample Ballots for Grosse Pointe

Check out the sample ballots from Grosse Pointe Woods before heading to the polls today. In addition to the presidential primary, Grosse Pointe voters will be asked to approve a 0.7 millage increase for the libraries.

Voters in the Grosse Pointes will be asked not only to vote in the presidential primary today but also to vote on the to help bridge the gap in funding.

Attached to this story are sample ballots courtesy of the Grosse Pointe Woods website for each the Democratic and Republican tickets as well as a non-partisan ballot for the library issue.

The clerk's from each of the Pointes have said they expect turnout to be typical this election day but the library millage has the potential to increase participation.

Since the election is a presidential primary, voters will be asked to declare a party if they wish to vote in that race. President Barack Obama is the only candidate on the democratic ballot. There are 11 options on the Republican ballot.

Those wishing to vote on the library millage issue may do so by requesting a non-partisan ballot.
