William Broman is a member of The George Washington University‚ Class of 2014, majoring in Biomedical Engineering with a focus on biomaterials. William was born and raised in Grosse Pointe, Michigan. He attended Monteith, Parcells, and Grosse Pointe North while he was a student in the GPPSS. William actively participates as an advocate for STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) education at all levels (K-12 and College). He routinely has conversations with elected officials at the local, state, and federal levels about different policies that can help improve access to STEM education for our nation's youth. He has been published three times by US News and World Report, for his efforts to advance STEM education in the United States. Through his advocacy for better education policy, he has become a supporter of Crossroads Generation. Outside of education policy and general politics, William is also an entrepreneur and sailor. He founded Broman Foretag, Inc. in July 2011. Broman Foretag is a web development company focused on small businesses. William has sailed since he was less than 3 months old, and has competed in many junior sailing regattas in Laser, 420 and FJ classes. In his free time William enjoys many things, such as sailing, tae kwon do, reading books on business, finance and economics, supporting the GW Women's Soccer team, and carrying out traditional college antics with his roommates.
