RATz sponsored Red Cross Blood Drive

The Radio Astronomy Team (RATz) will be sponsoring an American Red Cross blood drive fundraiser on Thursday, August 23rd in the Grosse Pointe North Cafeteria.  It runs from 10 am to 4 pm.

 Here's how you can help:

If you can donate, please click on the link below and sign up!  Bring a friend with you to donate as well.
If you cannot donate but know of people who can, please ask them to donate and forward the salient portion of this e-mail message to them.
Post news about this drive on your FaceBook and Twitter.

About blood donation:
Right now the blood supply is at a critical low.  900 pints a day are needed in the Detroit area.  In summer, people don't donate as regularly.
You can save up to three lives by donating a pint of blood.  Your donated blood is ALWAYS used.
Incentives:
Everyone who donates blood at this drive will be entered into a drawing for free gas for a year.
As a special incentive, we will also give a pair of tickets to an evening planetarium program to each donor.  Need more tickets?  Bring a friend to donate!

Individuals who are 17 years of age (16 with parental permission in Michigan), meet weight and height requirements (110 pounds or more, depending on their height) and are in generally good health may be eligible to donate blood.

Questions? Please e-mail Ardis Herrold:  ardis.herrold@gpschools.org
