Grosse Pointe Academy Forensics Team Earns Five First Place Awards

Grosse Pointe Academy 7/8 forensics team competed in this year's 7/8 Eastside Catholic Forensics League meet held on Saturday, December 8, 2012.

Grosse Pointe Farms - The Grosse Pointe Academy 7/8 forensics team competed in this year’s 7/8 Eastside Catholic Forensics League meet held on Saturday, December 8, 2012, earning a total of five first place awards.

Receiving two first place awards and one second place award, respectively, were the duo interpretation teams of Nick Connell and Karina Minanov and Megan McCarren and Hannah Lemanski. Each of these teams also received plaques for second place overall.  Receiving one first place and one second place award was Brad Bixler (drama). Receiving one first place and one third place was RaeAnne Woodman (drama). Receiving one first place award was the multiple interpretation team of Nicholas Bojarczyk, Jeffrey Buhl, Ian Homsy, Alex McWood and Markus Minanov.

Receiving two second place awards and one third place award were the duo interpretation team of Grace Andreasen and Morgan Connell. Brittinie Hughes received a second place and a third place in Declamation, Luke Roberts received two third place awards in storytelling, and Spencer Warezak received one third place award in the impromptu category.
