Grosse Pointe Park Man Receives Fulbright Grant

Peter Henning will teach in Croatia for the 2012/13 school year after receiving a Fulbright Scholar grant. He is a Wayne State University law professor.

Wayne State University law professor Peter Henning, of is one of 1,100 professionals selected to travel for the coming year after receiving a Fulbright Scholar Grant, according to a press releaese from Wayne State University.

Henning will teach at the University of Zagreb in Croatia for the coming school year, focusing on white collar crime with upper level students.

The scholarship for Henning relates to white-collar crime, constitutional criminal procedure and attorney ethics, according to the release.

Henning graduated from Georgetown University Law Center in 1985. He worked as a senior attorey in the Division of Enforcement with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission handling cases involving insider trading, penny stocks, market manipulation and more.

Following that he worked for the U.S. Department of Justice prosecuting bank crimes. He then joined Wayne State University as an associate professm in 1994 and was he was promotoed to law professor in 2002.
