Grosse Pointe South Students Compete Nationally for Scholarships

Grosse Pointe Public Schools recently announced the names of students from Grosse Pointe South who have been recognized in national scholarship competitions.

These students include:

Eight Grosse Pointe South High School seniors were named semifinalists in the 59th annual National Merit Scholarship Program (NMSC).  The finalists are:

  • Jeannine S. Degnan
  • Francesca J. Dijulio
  • Archibald S. Hauck
  • Claire L. Huebner
  • Isaac M. Piecuch
  • Tenley M. Shield
  • Kaitlin M. Dalman
  • Brian W. L’Heureux

Three Grosse Pointe South High School seniors were recently named Commended Students in the 2014 National Merit Scholarship Program. The students receiving commended status are:

  • Genevieve Hummer
  • Sophia V. Lianos
  • Jack A. Strachan
Grosse Pointe South High School senior Jordan R. Spratt was designated a semifinalist in the annual National Achievement Scholarship Program.
