North High School Earns High Marks for Media

The Grosse Pointe North High School student newspaper and yearbook received a variety of recognition recently with the Michigan Interscholastic Press Association.

Grosse Pointe North's student newspaper, North Pointe, earned the highest award given by the Michigan Interscholastic Press Association (MIPA). It was one of 13 student publications from around the state to earn the Spartan Award. 

Additionally, the yearbook, the Valhalla, earned a gold award from MIPA, according to advisor Shari Adwers, an English teacher.

Additionally, North Pointe was recognized by the National Scholastic Press Association with a third place ranking in best of show.
