Poupard School Community Takes Part in Walk to School Day

Students, staff and the Poupard community recently took part in a pair of initiatives to improve the bodies and mind.

Students, parents, staff and the Harper Woods Fire Department Wednesday took part in International Walk to School Day.

The members of the Poupard community not only took part in the healthy lifestyle event, but incorporated an additional initiative on the same day, according to an email from Brandy Rokicki, social worker at Poupard.

Pacer’s National Bullying Prevention Center recognized Wednesday as Unity Day. Students and staff were encouraged to wear orange, the official color of Unity Day and classroom discussions were held "to inspire every student to be united in making Poupard the best school it can be," Rokicki wrote.
