Schedule of Santorum at Grosse Pointe South

Former elected official and presidential candidate Rick Santorum will address students and staff at Grosse Pointe South High School today after more than a week of intense scrutiny related to the decisions surrounding his appearance.

Santorum is slated to begin his speech on leadership and service in the gymnasium at 12:45 p.m. His speech is not open to the public but is only open to Grosse Pointe South students who have permission slips and to staff. 

The assembly is scheduled to continue until 2:45 p.m. and will include a question and answer session with questions from the students to Santorum. The questions were to be submitted to South's main office by the end of the school day Tuesday. 

Students will be dismissed from school at 3:05 p.m. and Santorum's after school forum is scheduled to begin at 3:30 p.m. The event is open to the community and does not require a ticket. 

Anyone wishing to attend the community forum is asked to not arrive to the school any earlier than 3:15 p.m. to prevent any traffic flow issues. Attendees must enter the gymnasium through its main doors off the parking lot on Grosse Pointe Boulevard. The remainder of the building will be locked.
