Brief History on the Foundation:

Gloria Kitchen began the Thomas R. Kitchen Memorial
Foundation in 2010 after years of fundraising for the Cystic Fibrosis
Foundation. It was her dream to establish her own foundation in memory of her
brother Thomas, who succumbed to the disease in 1996 at the age of 31.

Unfortunately, also in 2010, Gloria began experiencing
chronic rejection of her transplanted lungs after almost 15 terrific years
post-transplant. In November of 2010, Gloria courageously lost her battle. The
name of the foundation has been changed to honor her memory and her family and
many close friends continue to raise money to fund important cystic fibrosis
research.
