Chilly-Fest Comes to the Park

We're knee-deep in winter (though hopefully not knee-deep in snow) so why not take advantage and celebrate 2012 Chilly-Fest with all sorts of seasonal fun? This is truly a case of snow and cold being a good thing.

In fact, it's so cool it's happening at two sites — Patterson Park and Windmill Pointe Park.

Come to either location and you'll get "event give-away coupons," which you can fill out and redeem for gifts.

A wealth of activities are planned that afternoon.

At Patterson Park guests can skate, play putting green games, view ice sculptures, build snowmen, throw snowballs at a target, take a horse-drawn trolley ride, see a snowboard demo at 2:30 p.m. (weather permitting), play tennis hockey and enjoy treats at the S'mores Station.

At Windmill Pointe guests can enjoy crafts, get their faces painting, try ice fishing, play in the inflatable bounce house, see the balloon artist work his (or her) magic, try a snowshoe walk around the park, unwind with a chair massage, and check out snowmobile pulls (if the weather cooperates). Plus Blue Pointe Restaurant will be serving chili, hot dogs and fixings at the Tompkins Center.
