Grosse Pointe Farms Regatta 2011: Residents of Grosse Pointe Farms

Beyond being a GREAT day with family and friends, the Grosse Pointe Farms Regatta is also a fantastic opportunity to get involved in your community and volunteer!

Regatta is a fun family day that begins with a decorated bicycle parade featuring The Detroit Tigers' mascot, PAWS and ends with a concert and fireworks. Volunteers are needed to float between various events and work to help facilitate events and direct visitors.

You'll enjoy a free lunch (subs, pizza, breadsticks and soda) and a letter of commendation from the city of Grosse Pointe Farms verifying your hours. You can work one or two shifts: 9:30 until 1:30 or 1:00 until 5:00. Among the types of jobs:

-PAWS handler (help manage the children who will get their photos taken with him, help direct him from one place to another)
