GP North, South Girls Swim Teams Compete

The girls swimming and diving teams from Grosse Pointe North and Grosse Pointe South have a dual meet competition early in the season.

The Girls Swimming and Diving Team dropped a 143-42 dual meet decision to Tuesday night.

Season best performances were turned in in the following events:

50 yard freestyle: Emma Mathews, Katelyn Kohler, Julia Ellis, Sydney Eger,Gabrielle Shimko, Brooke Ford and Maria Mermiges

100 yard freestyle: Emma Mathews, Jillian Fenner,Juliette Tripp, Brooke Ford, Claire Schaden and Lisa Zmyslowski

200 yard freestyle: Stephanie Shea, Blake Moncur, Grace Addy, Susan Hartzell and Amber Giesking

500 freestyle: Stephanie Shea, Ann Marie Nicholson and Karyn Schwartz

100 yard backstroke: Meghan Veltri, Juliette Tripp, Caroline Tripp, Grace Addy and Mary Emerick

100 yard breastroke: Katelyn Kohler, Jennifer Hawring and Claire Schaden

100 yard butterfly: Meghan Veltri

200 yard individual medley: Laura Dobbs and Caroline Tripp

1 meter diving: Emily Griffith.
